As director of the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research, I offer my most heartfelt thanks to all of you who support the Center. Your gifts allow us to carry on Terry Johnson’s vision of making the most of the impressive resources at K-State to fight cancer through research, as well as training and outreach.
Accepting a Challenge serves as a report about the center’s previous year, with information about K-State cancer research, outreach activities, fundraisers held for the center, and more.
The Council was established in 1980 to provide guidance from the medical, corporate, and private sectors of our community.
Terry C. Johnson, the first, longtime director of the Center for Basic Cancer Research, was born and raised in Minnesota. He received his B.S. at Hamline University, and his M.S. and Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota.
