Spend a day with Dr. Waddle in his super-dooper research laboratory and learn about cancers, science, and good health habits.
When cancer strikes in the family, at school, or in the neighborhood, children often harbor many questions and fears. This activity book — designed especially for children between the ages of seven and ten, but appreciated by people of all ages — was written by the cancer research center’s staff to educate children about cancers, and helping to alleviate the fears and misconceptions associated with these diseases.
Filled with pictures to color and puzzles to solve, “A Day with Dr. Waddle” presents a friendly duck who happens to be a scientist and explains cancers in an informative, yet sensitive, manner.
Dr. Waddle even speaks Spanish! It was important to the cancer center that Dr. Waddle’s important message reach the growing and often under-served Spanish-speaking population of the U.S.
