Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo

Pack it with pink Friday night, July 26, 2013! The Kaw Valley Rodeo Association will host the 7th annual Tough Enough to Wear Pink rodeo during the Riley County Fair at CiCo Park in Manhattan, to raise awareness of breast and other cancers, and funds for cancer research at K-State.

The rodeo, in Wells Arena, begins at 8 p.m. with a spectacular pink balloon launch and recognition ceremony during the grand entry, to honor all who have ever faced cancer. Rodeo participants and spectators alike wear pink…even the horses!

  • Spaghetti Dinner by former Gilio’s owner Chef Drew Zink & Cox Bros. BBQ
    5-7:30 p.m., Sun. July 14, First Presbyterian Church Family Center, 801 Leavenworth. Get tickets in advance by calling our center at 785-532-6705.

  • Junior Rodeo at Manhattan Town Center – Sat July 20
  • Steak Fry & Live Auction to benefit KVRA and their Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaign (special, pink auction items support our center) at RC McGraw’s (tickets sold in advance) – Sun July 21
  • Riley Co. Fair parade on Poyntz Ave. – Thu July 25
  • Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rodeo – 8 p.m., Fri July 26
    (Proceeds from that evening’s tickets go to Johnson Cancer Research Center.)
