Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer
A Letter from Coach Bill Snyder and 580 WIBW AM
As you may know, I was treated for throat cancer a few months ago. It was a difficult time for not only myself but also my family and coworkers. Thankfully, I am doing fine now. Sadly, others are not so fortunate. Research has saved many lives, but more work is needed. Please join 580 WIBW and me as we help K-State tackle cancer.
Since 1995, the Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer has raised $372,840 for the Johnson Cancer Research Center, where 100 K-State scientists are demystifying cancer, studying possible prevention strategies and developing early-detection and treatment methods while also training future scientists.
Research is making a difference, but it lacks funding. We can help K-State propel its most promising cancer research projects, purchase modern laboratory equipment and train excellent student researchers. Please accept the Wildcat Challenge and make a tax-deductible gift now to help K-State tackle cancer.
On behalf of all who fight cancer personally and professionally, thank you for accepting our Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer.
