“Excessive calorie intake, sedentary lifestyle, and/or less plant-food consumption have been convincingly associated with high risk of human cancer. We use animal studies to examine the molecular mechanisms by which dietary means may protect against cancer. Enhancing our understanding of mechanisms of anti-carcinogenesis through maintaining healthy body weight and healthy eating behavior will provide novel approaches to prevent cancer.”
