Register for the luncheon: November 15th, 2023 we are having the "Cure Starts with US" Power Luncheon at the Holiday Inn Manhattan At the Campus, 1641 Anderson Avenue, Manhattan, KS 66502. Coco Bolos will be providing upscale mexican dishes with modern twists...buffet provided! Registration ends Monday November 13th at 5pm!

  • $25.00 a person for the buffet and presentations
  • 11:30 A.M. -1:00 P.M.
  • Scientist and Faculty Member, Dr. David Poole, Kinesiology and Anatomy & Physiology. Speaking on "Oxygen Transport with Tissues in Health and Cancer."
  • Graduate Student, Aloka Amarasooriya. Speaking about her research, "A Trogen Horse approach delivery of small molecule anti-cancer drugs".

Wildcats Give $10 to Cure Cancer (WG10-2C)

The Wildcats give $10 dollars to cure cancer initiative was created to allow virtually everyone to participate in finding a cure for cancer. We want to include scientists, students, and supporters. Most people want to be a part of the effort but can’t give much, and that is okay!! If we are all able to give $10, then we will all be a part of the effort to cure cancer. The Johnson Cancer Research Center will host the 2023 K-State Cancer Research Week Sept. 18-23 on the Manhattan campus. The week is full of cancer research-related events to inform the public about the basic cancer research performed at K-State and fundraising events. Visit a lab, visit with a grad student at MHK Brewing Company with Science on Tap, see grad student summer research posters and hear faculty talk abou their research with a 2 min timer!
