Skylar Thompson Family Fundraisers

Thompson family collage & fund logo

In Fall 2021, Kansas State Quarterback Skylar Thompson and his family established a fund for K-State cancer research. Skylar donated proceeds from the October sales of his "Stronger Together" apparel in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. He also used email and social media to invite K-State supporters to join him in this cause. In April 2022, he and his family and former teammate Denzel Goolsby held a fundraiser at Goolsby's, an entertainment venue in Aggieville. All together, these efforts raised around $30,000! We're so grateful to the Thompsons for supporting K-State cancer research!

Skylar and his family plan to continue their support and invite you to join them in being "part of the cure." To donate to the Thompson Family Cancer Research Fund at the Kansas State University Foundation, use the link below.

"[This] fund honors my mom, Teresa Lynn Thompson, and grandfather, John Walter Thompson. I lost them both to cancer within seven months of each other when I was six and seven years old. Cancer effects all of us in some way, and my family wants to be a part of the cure, so others don’t have to go through losing their loved ones like we did. Any size donation is appreciated and all funds will go to students and faculty who are researching tirelessly every day to find the cure at K-State."
