Feature story in JCRC's 2018 Conquest magazine

“Our laboratory is involved in molecular recognition and solution phase structural studies of anticancer agents using ‘state-of-the-art’ multidimensional Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and computer aided molecular modeling. We are interested in utilizing structure of peptides, proteins, enzymes, receptors, and acceptors as templates in drug designing. Recently we have been studying the structure-activity relationship of novel chicken cathelicidins known as fowlicidins. Understanding the mechanism of function of these compounds through structure-activity relationship studies is important in enhancing our knowledge of cancer biology, and may play an important role in developing anticancer agents.”
