Our guest speaker will be Gayle Thomas, Executive Director, Witness Project® of Kansas (WPK), Wichita, an affiliate of the National Witness Project, a breast and cervical cancer awareness, education and outreach program. Ms. Thomas will present Why Me?: A Breast Health Awareness Journey, and discuss how we all are at risk for having to ask the question “why me?,” and that breast cancer does not have to be a death sentence. Her presentation will cover breast health/cancer, early detection techniques and navigating the health care system with and without insurance. (WPK brochure in pdf format)

Participants will receive lunch, a souvenir item, and informational materials, and prizes will be given away.

This event is free but space is limited and reservations are required by Oct. 5. Call or email Marcia at the Johnson Cancer Research Center, 532-6705, to reserve your spot or learn more.
