A Letter from Coach Bill Snyder and 580 WIBW AM

Fall 2023

Dear Friends of the
Johnson Cancer Research Center,

It’s been a few years since I was treated for throat cancer, and I am grateful to still be doing well. However, not everyone is so fortunate. Research has saved many lives, but more work is needed. Please join 580 WIBW and me as we help Kansas State University tackle cancer.

Since 1995, our Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer has raised $461,560 for the Johnson Cancer Research Center. Its 90 multidisciplinary research teams are investigating cancer formation and prevention, and improving diagnostics and treatments. But this life-saving research, which benefits us all, is expensive.

You and I can help K-State advance its most promising cancer research projects, obtain cutting-edge laboratory equipment, and train future scientists and medical workers. Please accept the Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer by making a gift online (or by mail). Regardless of the amount, your gift will help save lives.

Stay up-to-date on K-State’s fight against cancer by following the Johnson Cancer Research Center on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and show your pride with a The Cure Starts With US! t-shirt.

On behalf of all who fight cancer personally and professionally, I sincerely thank you for joining in the Wildcat Challenge to Tackle Cancer.

Sincerely,

Bill Snyder, Former Head Football Coach
Kansas State University

with

Larry E. Riggins, Market Manager
Alpha Media Topeka
